Description: Pendleton Beaver State Navajo Native Indian Wool Blanket "They Sang For Horses". Blanket is pre-owned and does have some issues. There are several spots throughout that look to be moth or insect damages. I have taken several pictures to depict this issue, please view all photos closely. One spot on the hem is loose, about 1 inch. Despite these flaws the blanket is absolutely stunning and displays well. Limited to 300, this a collectible and rare find. The blanket measures approximately 64 by 80 inches. “They Sang For Horses” is a tribute to the Sun God, (Johano-aii), who rides proudly across the sky each day to create the Navajo image of greatness. The blanket depicts important elements of his journey: The morning star, the sun dial, the Sun God's five horses, the storm pattern of dark or foul weather, and the nightfall of the day before.
