Volume admits to a number of minor bumps to extremities, along with light to medium but inoffensive wear to exterior, as well as light soiling to same. A custom made, high quality, clear protective cover taped in 2 places on each board. While this is an attractive addition and brightens the volume, overall, removing the plastic would cause damage to 4 tiny spots on edges of boards. Several tiny tears to paper over hinges, though binding remains firm. Light wear and a touch of soiling to bookplate, with several faint and inoffensive spots to edges of pages and front free endpaper. Mild tanning to paper.
