Description: For the Baseball Hobbyist. . . Scarcer Blue* Variation Paul Dee "Daffy" Dean | 1934 St. Louis Cardinals ~ The Gas House Gang Scarcer Blue* Version The Card Memorabilia Associates, Limited produced this card in 1974 - ranking it as one of TCMA's earliest products. Twenty-seven (27) "smaller" (approximately 2-1/4" by 3-5/8") plus four oversized (approximately 4-1/2" by 3-3/4") cards comprise a full set. This is one of the 27 smaller cards which measure the rather unorthodox and approximate 2-1/4" by 3-5/8" size. Cards of this size fit (with full card coverage) well in standard 8-pocket collector sheets (viewed horizontally) or 6-pocket pages if vertical viewing is preferred. *Four versions of the set have been seen: Grey backs with blue ink, Black & White photos with black ink on backs, Blue & White photos with White backs and black ink, and Blue & White photos with White backs with blue ink. This particular card features: Blue & White photos with WHITE BACKS with BLUE INK. In our experience (as may be seen in a check of the singles and sets offered on eBay), the blue & white photos with blue ink on reverse is the scarcer variety. Condition: Excellent or better - check the high-resolution scans, front and back. This is the only example of this card currently in stock. A blue background is provided to assist in evaluating edges and corners of the card. Additional information for collectors of full sets: At least three picture variations exist within this set: Daffy Dean appears in either pitching pose or portrait (white back) and portrait (grey back); Pop Haines (pitching or portrait/white back and portrait/grey); and Ernie Orsatti (full length pose with bat or portrait/white and portrait/grey). Shipping OPTIONS are available - YOUR CHOICE of either eBay standard envelope service (ESE) which is cheaper with slower delivery or USPS Ground Advantage (more costly for single cards but much faster delivery). We also offer UNLIMITED singles (up to and including 8X10 inches in size) shipped via Ground Advantage for the one card rate. Both services include insurance but USPS Ground Advantage is considerably quicker, with fewer limitations. _______________________ Important: Shipping Information Our goal has always been to keep shipping costs low. Our primary objective is to sell cards and other things of interest to baseball hobbyists - not make money by overcharging on shipping. If you ever believe you are being overcharged on shipping, please email us and we will double-check the facts of the matter. Thank you! U.S. residents: We combine multiple items purchased so you pay only the shipping on the heaviest item - all other items ship free of charge. (An exception would be if an item must be sent via media/book rate.) All Other Countries: Email us first. Many listings indicate shipment to U.S. or U.S. & Canada only, but we actually ship worldwide. To receive your combined shipping, please wait for us to send you a combined invoice. The eBay checkout system usually displays an incorrect shipping charge. (It is normally too high.) Please do not pay for each item separately; if you pay separately, there is no shipping discount. We pack your order carefully - sandwiching cards between cardboard and utilizing boxes, bubble wrap, etc., as necessary - to ensure your items arrive in the condition you expect. Items are shipped the next business day. We ship 5 - usually 6 - days each week. Payment should be made within 7 days after invoice has been received.
