I received it in March of 2016.... I wanted to let you know how beautiful your yellow ribbon is!Five years ago when my son left for his first tour to Afghanistan, I tied a yellow ribbon around the tree in my front yard and planned to take it down when he returned. He returned thankfully (although was wounded) and I decided to keep it up in honor of all the troops that were/are still serving. Five years later-my son is now an Army Captain and Ranger. The yellow ribbon remains on my tree-although I’ve had to change it yearly due to wear. Your ribbon is the best one yet and I will proudly hang it soon. My dear son leaves for his 3rd deployment to Afghanistan later this spring and I want to be sure to maintain the reminder to all who walk by that somewhere our troops continue to serve, sacrifice and place themselves in harm’s way.
