Item Description CUSTOMER REVIEW: "I am giving this five stars because it looks just as it was described, but there are some portions of this design which might make someone rethink getting it. I have tried cooking a few things on this so far, but so far only on a regular gas stovetop. The pros are that the stainless is nice and thick as advertised and the handle rivets do seem solidly in place, there is ample space for frying. The cons are that if your aren’t frying in a big pool of oil, the pan takes forever to heat, except for a tiny round spot in the middle of the pan, which is then too hot and immediately scorches everything it touches. The side and warming ledge though are freezing cold, even as the center is too blazing hot to cook anything. This was NOT a problem when I used a lot of oil or when I deep fried things. It worked great when I used a lot of oil and when I deep fried. The other con is that the ledge on the side is quite narrow, and it slants pretty extremely so stuff slides down if it isn’t quite heavily smashed into the edge of the pan. Overall, I like it enough to keep it, and it might very well end up being my favorite deep frying pot, because of the ledge, and it is good for tacos, but just holds less meat around the sides than I expected it to."
