Description: "Our Unfinished March: The Violent Past and Imperiled Future of the Vote - A History, A Crisis, A Plan" by Eric Holder with Sam Koppelman. 2022 One World Publishing. Stated First Edition, Stated 1st Printing. ISBN 9780593445747. 297 pages. Hardcover with dust jacket. The author has signed a sheet (thicker paper than the rest of the book) which has been tipped in to the book just after the front end page. The flat signature was written in black marker, with no inscription or personalization. Holder talks about the history of suffrage in America and the gaining of those rights, from white men to black men and women. He then describes the issues on voting from the Democrat perspective, focusing on issues of gerrymandering, not accepting results, and the possibility in our system that the winning President doesn't win the popular vote. His conclusion is that the electoral college must be eliminated. It appears the issues that he discusses here do not focus on voter fraud or election official fraud. I find no mention of these topics or "audits" in the index. A quote from his Conclusion chapter: "Speaking now as a Democrat, capital D, I have to say that as a party, we need to acquire power - and then using that power to fix the institutions we know are broken." Interesting to understand one perspective. Photos are of the actual book on offer. See the photos for additional insight into content and condition of this civil rights perspective on voting issues in the US by former Attorney General Eric Holder.
