Description: I am offering a fine condition original 1943 (May 1943 date identified inside) booklet created by the students at elementary schools in Wichita, Kansas. Printed by the Wichita East High School Print Shop. 94 pages measuring appr 6" x 8 3/4". This is so neat and so original. Each poem or paragraph (paragraphs get long towards the end of the booklet) has the name of the student and the school attended. A number of students write about family members serving in WWII. One student at Dunbar Elementary writes her paragraph about Marian Anderson the singer. Very creative students. Very nice nostalgic item from Wichita, Kansas.
