A gold gilded brass hilt with ivory grip and down turned shell guard bearing ornate repousse decoration in a spider web effect, a knuckle bow cast and engraved with florals and a centered Tudor rose, a turned pommel decorated with acanthus leaves and scrolls and the head of Greek Goddess Athena. A beautiful hand etched straight triangle edged blade beautiful measuring 30 ¼ inches and measures 36.0 inches total. The blade is maker marked “S&K”. Conditions are very nice for the age. Completely untouched, even dark patina blade has very minor surface pitting. Blade is tight, Grip is tight with no cracks and some minor soiling. A Beautiful choice example which had previously been on display in a Private Museum in Worcester, Massachusetts.
