Description: This is an original! USAAF WW2 3 piece flyers/bomber crew flak vest with emergency removal pull cord. This is the more heavily reinforced US version featuring the mid-war OD green canvas and blackened hardware, complete with spec nomenclature tags and weight stamps. The Flak Vest was developed in 1942 by the Wilkinson Sword Co., UK production proved slow so the US mass-production was adopted in October 1943. You don't find them in this condition often!
