Description: Original WWI German Combat and Service Awards Sample Board by Steinhauer and Luck. Ultra rare piece that contains 73 different devices in Stickpin and lapel layouts. Some of the singles on the bottom were also used for Medal bars. There are some very rare samples such as the Imperial Pilots Badge, Imperial Observer Badge, Oldham Cross, Brunswick Cross, Silesian Eagle, Iron Crosses both First and Second Class, Silver and Black Wound Badges. The construction varies as well from Enamels to fine hand painted and quality metals. Each of these have the original hand written catalog number and price. The back show that they are all fastened by brass prongs. The board measures 10 1/4 inches X 7 3/4 inches. If you priced this out by the piece it would exceed 2K but hopefully it remains intact!!
