Description: This auction is for 1 vintage ceramic Uncle Mistletoe cookie jar in its original box from Marshall Field & Co. Size of cookie jar is approximately 11-1/2" to top of hat/lid, 7-1/2" wide and 7" deep. It weighs approximately 8 lb. including the box. It is in near mint condition with no chips, cracks, repaired or touched up parts. No manufacturing flaws either. No musty or smoke smell. Box is the original one in which it was sold. There is a yellowed and brittle scrunched up newspaper page in the bottom of the box dated 1953. I think it is in Polish. This cookie jar is a wonderful memory of Chicago and Field’s from the 1950s. Uncle Mistletoe and Aunt Holly figures graced the storybook windows of Marshall Field’s State Street store every Christmas. I am not the original owner but my home is smoke-free. FREE SHIPPING.
