Description: For your consideration is a pair of salt and pepper shakers. These shakers were manufactured by the Shawnee Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. These shakers were one of the items of the original Corn Ware line, which was manufactured from 1941 into 1946. This line had white corn and was only available as a premium for Proctor & Gamble. In 1946, major changes were made to the Corn Ware line; including the color of the corn became yellow (and it stayed yellow) and it became available to everyone.Each shaker is approximately 5" tall and each shaker's base ring has a diameter of approximately 1 3/4".These salt and pepper shakers are old items (1941-1946) that were used. Each has 0 chips and 0 cracks. On one shaker the bottom plug is missing. Each shaker has glazing imperfections.
