Description: Antique oil painting on board, signed only A.T. (perhaps A.T. Hibbard?) in the lower lefthand corner in overall very good condition. There is a vague and hard to notice shallow scuff mark to the wood near the righthand side of her mouth, piece is otherwise clean and very well intact with some minor crazing. Painting is in a goldwashed wooden frame that shows some minor wear. Painting depicts in realist style the portrait of a bespectacled grandmotherly old woman wearing a shawl and bonnet threading a sewing needle. Entire piece including the frame measures approximately 11 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches. Wood panel measures approximately 8 3/8 x 8 1/4 inches.
