Description: Here is an original, late WW2 through 1955 pattern United States Army chevron or sleeve rank insignia for the rank of Private in the US Army Air Forces. The patch is a one-piece design consisting of olive green embroidered wool chevron on midnight blue wool-felt fabric backing with raw/unfinished border. It measures 80mm wide, and 70mm high.
