Named railroads include the Atlanta & West Point, Western & Atlantic, and the East Tennessee, Virginia & Georgia. Dashed lines show horse-drawn streetcar lines, two of which are labeled in the inset of Ponce de Leon Springs — the Atlanta Street Railway and the Gate City Street Railway. Other named places and features on the map include the Governor's Mansion, Fulton Cotton Spinning Company, L.P. Grant Park, New State Capitol, Peachtree Street, Oakland Cemetery, New County Court House, and the Atlantic Cotton Factory. The image area measures 30.5 x 24.5 cm [12" x 9¾"], with generous margins on all sides. This map was published by George Franklin Cram, Chicago in 1897.
