It is recommended to experiment with lighting (dimmed vs direct/indirect sun facing etc) to find the look that suits you best. Some paintings respond best to regular warmer/cooler house lighting than natural, at times even - holding and tilting metallic/iridescent paintings in different angles will give you better insight at how your painting will respond to sunlight vs regular lighting.
