Description: >Offered here is an old and original 1920's-30's CHESTERFIELD CIGARETTES Woman Tennis Player cardboard sign!! Please see all nine photos, as they are an important part of my description. This exceedingly rare vintage sign measures approximately 29 1/4" x 14" and features bright original colors with a glossy finish. The sign's wonderful artist was Charles Edward Chambers. The sign's centerpiece is that of a period female tennis player "in flight", with tennis racket in one hand and a tennis ball in the other. This Chesterfield Cigarettes thick cardboard signage was produced by the "Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co." (says this in lower/left corner); also says "Litho in U.S.A." in the lower/right corner. Chesterfield's slogan for this sign: "...on the court, it's FLASH! ... in a cigarette, it's TASTE!". There's a Chesterfield Cigarettes pack pictured in the lower/right. An absolutely stunning piece, and r-a-r-e. This Chesterfield Cigarettes sign is most definitely a "survivor"....and possibly one-of-a-kind!!! A simply outstanding example of vintage tennis advertising, sports advertising and tobacciana!! <>Condition: this antique, nearly century-old signage exhibits age/handling faults, to include light-moderate creasing, four small holes in each corner area and other misc. aging; please see all photos.
