On3 Scale Brass Sango Model Works SAKAI Works 4 Ton DL Internal Combustion Locomotive Nicely built from a kit in On3 Narrow Gauge. Has an open engine compartment - often these locos were run with side panels off for cooling and it has a nice model of the engine. Prototype Information: Sakai Works "SKW" of Tokyo Japan, is a heavy equipment manufacturing company. SKW was founded by Kinnosuke Sakai in 1918 and is still in business today. These small industrial locomotives were based on Plymouth Industrial locomotives in the United States. The Kiso Forest Railway in Japan had and used several "SKW" locomotives. I am sure many of these locomotives were also used in industrial and military settings. Locomotive has a Sagami DC motor. No lights. MV lenses in light housings. Link and pin couplers. Model is unlettered and could pass for an American Plymouth Locomotive. Used Collection Item. TCA Condition C-7 Excellent: Loco runs good. Powered by a Sagami motor. Very nice paint. Includes original box, paperwork. Box is in like new condition, the foam is bad. The wheels show very faint use. Loco has dust from years of display. We suggest a cleaning and lubrication before running. Examine photos carefully. As-is.
