In this rare design, the eagle has the Zuni Sun Face symbol on its breast. The Sun Face symbol plays a major role in Zuni culture, because it represents the sacred Sun Father. The symbol's round motif depicts the Sun with a forehead split down the middle to reflect the eternal balance between sunrise and sunset. The ring is a size 7.5, measures over 1.25" long, and weighs 9.81 grams. There are no stampings or hallmarks, which is common for older pieces. This stunning Native American sterling silver, turquoise, coral and opal eagle ring is in very good vintage condition with expected wear for its age.
