Description: Authentic Fender Telecaster made from original USA Fender replacement neck and body, dated to 1989. The Fender silver badges are real and the one on the neck says "original Fender neck" and the one on the (ash) body says "original Fender body." This is how the very first Fender replacement parts were done. The neck never had a decal. These were bought together (only the neck has a date (Aug. 23, 1989) and assembled. The other parts are also Fender all bought at the same time except for the bridge pickup which is an old Seymour Duncan Broadcaster type. The pickguard is new. This is an EXCELLENT player and is played daily. Low set up on a 7.25 vintage radius. The profile is a reasonably thin round. Really nice bone nut, Ernie Ball Cobalt 9s. You will have to set up to your preference. Just using a bath scale it comes in at just under 8 lbs. Comes with the chipboard case which is just for cool factor, but is a lot older than the guitar. This is a really unique Tele, and technically a very early partscaster example as Fender decided to go after what was a growing market. One flaw: a single bridge screw into the body is twisted off, has no effect at all.
