Description: Here is an old cabinet card photo of a young man identified at the bottom of the photo as Elmer Bartley. The photographer was Mahan of Pittsburgh, PA. I did some research and found that Elmer Bartley was born in Butler, PA in 1865. At the time of his marriage in 1890 to Ida Florence Anderson he was living in Tarentum, PA. Ida was born in 1868. According to several old city directories they lived in Pittsburgh and had 3 children. Ida died in 1937 and Elmer in 1947. They are buried in United Cemetery in Allegheny County, PA. There are spots on the photo, you can still see the man, but there are light brown spots. Also looks like some one took a black pen and dotted in the pupils in his eyes. There are some rough spots around the edges. Still a nice photo for anyone researching the history of the Bartley family. Postage will be 4.40 to the U.S. IF OUTSIDE THE U.
