Description: It took me a bit to find information on these. I went by an 6 year old ebay listing and finally found some proof to back up what they thought they were. The last picture is a screenshot of an ad Morson had in the NYC directory type publication in 1850. I also found the same ad in a 1851 publication. I couldn't find any other reference to him though. Other than in 1856, his former foreman was making dental tools on his own. Think about it, these extractors are pushing 175 years old! And other than a little discoloration and a little pitting on the end of one handle, they are in nice shape. Points are still on the ends of the jaws, nice stamping of the C.E. Morson name on both sides. Nice checkered handle grips. It's sort of cool, and at the same time, sort of eerie to think about what these extractors may have been part of over the past 170+ years. I added these to our wrench database because they look like a set of pliers, and if we can keep the information alive as to what they are, and hopefully add to the information in time, that is good for everybody that collects old tools of any type. If old wrenches interest you, check out the new database on wrenches at https://www.45spaces.com/vintage-wrenches/ For this particular wrench... https://www.45spaces.com/vintage-wrenches/r.php?r=via846777 I now have Ebay set up to add $1 per additional item for shipping. This will somewhat make it easier to combine shipping as a buyer. You won't need a corrected invoice. If you are going to buy quite a few, say like 10, I should be able to refund some of the shipping cost back to you now. But it will depend on size of box and weight too.
