Description: Official Records of the Union and Confederate Navies Series II, Volume 3, 1922 Contains Confederate Correspondences, with Illustrations of 15 Confederate officials and 2 Confederate Naval Flags Original copy, in good condition Up for sale is one original volume in Official Records of the Union and Confederate Navies in the War of the Rebellion. It is Series 2, Volume 3, which was printed by the Government Printing Office in 1922. As noted on the title page, this volume is focused on a range of Confederate correspondences, including Proclamations, Appointments, etc., of President Davis, and State Department Correspondence with Diplomatic Agents, etc. Volume 3 contains 1335 pages. This volume is an Ex-Lib cop, but stamped as removed from the library system. It is in its original hardcover binding, which remains in very good condition overall (see photos). There is a well-done paper hinge repair inside the back cover that spans about half the page; it is a very neat, long-term small repair (see photo). While this book has some expected library markings and bookplate, those markings are few, and at least mostly on the flyleaves and spine. Scattered in it are 15 plates (on glossy paper) of various Confederate officials (see photo for listing of them) along with 2 approved Confederate naval flags (see photos of examples of some officials and one approved naval flag). Buyer pays Media Mail postage. This book will be shipped promptly with payment. Please email me with any questions you may have.
