INDICATIONS Ocutein Ribo-Hyal is a hypoosmolar artificial tear gel for the treatment of dry eye syndrome, the gel contains hyaluronic acid conjugated with riboflavin. The surface of the eyes becomes dry due to inflammation caused by changes in the components of the tear film. The quantity and quality of tears becomes insufficient (water, mucous substances and lipids). Ocutein Ribo-Hyal solution lubricates the cornea and conjunctiva, and also has a nourishing, protective and antioxidant effect against negative factors of the external environment: physical (thermal, traumatic), light (caused by smartphone, TV, computer, sunlight) and chemical (due to liquid and gaseous pollutants). Therefore, Ocutein Ribo-Hyal ophthalmic solution is prescribed to all patients who need to lubricate the surface of the eye and reduce the oxidative stress it experiences. The product is suitable for contact lens wearers. In addition, the hypoosmolar effect inherent in the solution allows to balance the hyperosmolarity of tears in dry eye syndrome. Vitamin E TPGS can form amphipathic micellar structures. Therefore, the ophthalmic solution allows to restore the altered lipid layer in a natural way in case of dry eye syndrome due to Meibomian gland dysfunction. In addition, vitamin E TPGS enables the formation of micellar structures that promote the anchoring of hyaluronic acid on the surface of the eye, thus restoring the mucous layer of tears in a natural way. The cell membranes of the ocular surface are rich in microvilli, extraversions of cell membranes; their function is to mechanically trap hyaluronic acid into other glycoproteins of the extracellular matrix; thus conjugated hyaluronic acid mechanically adheres to other cells. In this way, an antioxidant, protective, nourishing and regenerating effect is created on the entire surface of the eye. RIBOHYAL molecules, due to their ability to bind to the microelements of the ocular surface epithelial cells, allow the conjugated hyaluronic acid to mechanically attach to the cells, also promotes restoration, trophism and regeneration of the mucous layer of the tear film, if it is damaged due to pathogenic reasons. The gel is applied like regular eye drops, disperses in a few seconds and creates a stable protective layer on the tear film, preventing premature evaporation of tears. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 1. Remove the visible seal ring before use; 2. Open the bottle and remove the protective cap; 3. Gently squeeze the contents of the bottle and put 2-4 drops in each eye or as directed by the doctor.
