A vertical crack also descends west of the ear. The very rare BG-720 is one of several Frontier & Co. 1871 octagonal quarter varieties, but the locations of the lapped stars and the slanted 1s in the date allow ready attribution. This coin has a few hair thin marks and a small aqua spot near 5 o’clock.
