Description: For those who desire the common 4" round mirror to replace the rectangle mirrors generally fitted to Commandos we have these available. This listing is for ONE (1), Made in the UK, 4" round mirror and stem to fit the front disc brake Norton Commando models manufactured from 1973 to 1977. This mirror is the nicest British made mirror we have available. Quantity is limited. The mirror comes with one stem, it has the 3/8" X 24 UNF proper mounting thread. The 3/8" x 24 threaded stem is correct for all threaded Norton master cylinders and threaded clutch lever brackets. When installing into an unthreaded clutch lever bracket you can tap the hole to 3/8"x 24 or drill the hole larger and install a 3/8"x 24 lock nut/ washer on the end. This stem measures approximately 8" in length. The back of the mirror has a stainless 10mm crown nut for mounting on to the stem. Please check your mounting point on the switch clusters of your bike, it should be 3/8" x 24 . Early front disc brake 750 and 850 models had no threaded hole to screw the mirror into the front brake assembly. We list "clamp on" and "bar end" mirrors to cover that scenario. Later Commandos came equipped with a rubber blanking plug, # 06-3668 inserted into the otherwise right side threaded mirror hole. Pull out the plug and screw in this mirror.Email with your year, make and model of motorcycle if you are unsure of fitment.
