Description: For your consideration is a incredible antique eastlake mortise door lock set manufactured by by Sargent & Co. in New Haven Conn in the late 1800's. The mortise is # 6354 as shown in the 1910 Sargent trade catalog. The latch, bolt, face plate, knobs, rose, and back plate are made of brass, the lock body is cast iron. The mortise lock is in excellent functional condition - it has been refurbished - all parts disassembled, cleaned and properly reassembled. The lock is reversible - it will work with a right hand or left hand swing door. Dimensions are as follows: Face plate: 6-7/8' x 1", Distance between the face and center-of-hub (set back): 2-7/8", Distance between center-of-hub and center-of-1st key post: 1-3/4", center-of-2nd key post: 3-1/8".
