Manufactured in the early 1960's, this testament to good old American technology will still fire up today with no issues, at least with the 2 lanterns I have successfully lit. To be honest, your mileage may vary should you attempt to light one, but I'm fairly confident there would be no issues, just NO guarantee. Always check for propane leaks before attempting to light. Until recently these lanterns had been nestled away, forgotten, in the corner of a warehouse for over 60 years. Now they are available to complement your collection or to light up your life! They cast a horizontal beam for about 45 feet, and the mesh screen on the base allows the lantern to light up the ground beneath it. The handle allows you to hang the lantern or carry it with ease. The Dual Light Beam provides a 300 degree forward beam and a 360 degree base light beam. The box has been opened, presumably to remove the propane cylinder (different times in the 60's), but the lantern itself is in pristine condition. The TX-750 is fueled by a propane cylinder available at any hardware store. It is also possible to purchase the connectors and hose to attach it to a 20lb tank for longer burn times. Of course, NO propane cylinder will be shipped with your unused TX-750! NOTE: Unless you request otherwise, I will ship the lantern in the original box. The shipping label will be applied over the red diamond which suggests the presence of propane. This will spoil the appearance of the original box, so you may ask that it be shipped inside another box. Please note that this request will likely add a couple of days of handling time to source a proper sized box.
