The soles are non-marking, so it's safe to walk on the kitchen floor. In fact, the soles are replaceable, so if you ever do manage to wear them out, you don't have to give up the nice boots you have spent years breaking in, you just have the cobbler put on new soles. Designed for hot desert weather, they have grommets to release moisture, with every step you take. The bottoms are suede leather, and the tops are Cordura nylon. They are designed to be mildew resistant, so don't worry if you take them off at the end of the day, and they are a bit sweaty! These also make GREAT WORK BOOTS for construction workers in the warm weather. The Cordura sides allow moisture to escape, keeping you that much cooler. Because of it's size, the box can be expensive to ship, depending on destination. At my discretion, I may upgrade Parcel Select Orders to Priority mail. Sometimes I can get your order to you faster, at no additional cost to either of us. If you need them in a hurry, be sure to select "Priority" shipping, which I charge $5.00 more for. I don't know until I print shipping labels if I can send them Priority for no extra charge, so don't bother sending me a message asking - I will simply tell you to select the Priority option, if you are in a hurry. ...AND I ALMOST ALWAYS SHIP NEXT BUSINESS DAY, if your order is placed before 10pm Eastern Time. (That's 7pm for those of you on the left coast...) If you are not in the United States, I will not ship to you. I only ship to the address that comes up when I print the labels, unless it is outside the 50 United States. If that happens, I will cancel your order, and send you a message about why. About the original box The box that the boots were originally shipped in is not a very good box for shipping, as it lacks the flaps to help it keep it's shape in handling, and it has finger holes in it. (See Pictures.) Also, it is about twice as large as the boots require. (It probably could hold two pairs of boots - which would actually help it keep it's shape, making it a better shipper.) These actually shipped 6 pairs to a carton - so there was a larger box, holding 6 pairs of boots in invidual boxes. This is how they get away with a box that is inferior as a shipper. Therefore, at my discretion, I will most likely ship your boots in a box other than the "original from the factory" box. If you are concerned about receiving the original box, you MUST contact me before ordering. Once your order is placed, I can not promise you will get your boots in the original box. Chances are, you will not receive your boots in the original box, unless you talk to me, before placing your order, as the over-sized box is not a good box for shipping in, and due to it's size, usually increases the cost of postage, dramatically. I am unlikely to ship the original box, unless you make arrangements with me, in advance of placing your order. If you are a collector, I understand why you want the box, and I am prepared to accomodate you. HOWEVER, it's gonna cost you extra in shipping. If you request in advance of your order, I will hand select a box in good condition for you, and ship everything together in a larger, more expensive box. But you will have to message me, and ask me for a total, before I agree to your order. (I will actually make a private listing, just for that transaction...) Shipping charges in such cases are likely to be as much as $15.00 higher, depending on destination, because not only does the box cost more to ship this way, the box I ship it in also costs me money. Then there's also PayPal and eBay fees on the additional charge. Again, if you do not make the request before placing your order, you are unlikely to get the original box. Because they are massively oversized for the contents, and they do not make good shippers, I will nearly always ship in a different box, than the one they came in, originally. Should you feel the need to return these boots, for reasons allowable by eBay rules, they must be returned in the same SPOTLESS, and unused condition that they left here in. In other words, try them on, walk around the house for a few minutes, and make sure they work for you. Please do not wear them out in the dirty, rough world, and expect us to accept them as a return, if they show any wear, scuffing, snags, or marks of any kind. If you wear them long enough to leave these kinds of evidence on them, I can not resell them, and will not accept them as a return. As it is, for honesty's sake, even if you never even try them on, and return them to me, I will be forced to sell them as used, and take a drastic reduction in selling price.
