The point of the campaign was to sell more consoles by lowering the retail price of the Nintendo 64 console from ¥25,000 yen to ¥16,800 yen and offer Clear Purple N64 controllers for free with the purchase of a Nintendo 64 console at any store in Japan. They were available as buy-one-get-one deals, prizes, giveaways, or free replacements. Because of those circumstances, the "Not For Sale" controllers are much rarer than the standard retail controllers that could be purchased outright.The controller is new and factory twist-tied/bagged.
