Description: These new old stock pins were owned by Laura Clapp Kelley (Major. U.S. Army Nurse Corps, Retired), 94, who died on June 19, 2003 at the Southington Care Center, Southington, Connecticut. She was born March 6, 1909 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Jacob S. Kelley, M.D. and Margaret (Philbrick) Kelley. In 1930, she graduated from Rhode Island Hospital School for Nurses, and entered the then fledgling U.S. Army Nurse Corps. She served during WWII in England and Normandy and in the Korean War. As seen in the photos, these pins are new old stock. The original cellophane wrapping is torn. Thanks for looking. I have other items listed from Major Kelley’s estate.
