She names the groups or tribes who traditionally used each one specifically. The color pictures are fantastic. There is also a preface in the front portion of the book that goes over ways stones are used, cleansed, applied, etc. You won't be carrying this 10 pound tyrannosaur around, its definitely a reference book to use at home or in the study, but for a serious practitioner of applications of stones and crystals; NO OTHER BOOK beats this one!"2nd REVIEW: "Excellent encyclopedia for understanding gemstones.
