Description: New Doug Fleenor Design DMX512 Inline Opto XLR Isolator Model : DMXOPTO-5 The DMX512 Inline Optical Isolator was designed to plug directly into the back of most DMX lighting consoles. Its primary purpose was to protect the console from hazardous voltages which may travel on the control cable. Hazardous voltages may be caused by dimmer failures, electrical storms, and cross wiring non-DMX equipment (foggers, intercoms, arc welders) into lighting control outlets. The isolator also eliminates ground loops and provides high drive current for long control runs.
