Description: A mixture of netsuke figurines. They appear to be made from resin and are very detailed with special attention to the facial expressions. They are 1.75" at the tallest. An extensive search through various sources provides no comparables to these exact representations. They may be examples of any of several Japanese folklore deities. Four may have Shinto headgear while the singing poor man wears a sort of turban. The reclining tea drinkers are especially detailed with the evident teapot and cups. The patchwork on the poor man is marvelous.
