Description: These are established divisions of Neofinetia falcata (Amani Island form). The parent plant was the winner of several best of show titles in 2007 and 2008. This small species is related to Vandas which like bright light but not mid-day direct sun. The 1/2" wide flowers are white with a 1 1/2" nectar spur. The flowers are beautifully scented. These plants are cool to intermediate temperature growers. When I purchased the parent plant in 2002 the growers were claiming that it was a division of plants that were divisions of a plant that started 400 years ago. No way to confirm this but I suppose it is possible. However, The Amani Island form may not have been around 400 years ago.
