Description: Gorgeous handmade pottery jar by Charlotte Vigil from the San Ildefonso Pueblo. She is native and has been making pottery since the 1970s. She has won several awards from the Indian Market, Santa Fe and Eight Northern Pueblos Arts and Crafts Show. This ceramic jar is made of native clay and stone burnished slip. It has a buff slip design, was pit-fired, and signed by the artist. It is in good preowned condition, but there are a few scratches and rubbing on some sides. The desert colors are beautiful, and it has a lovely sheen. It was made in 2014. The pictures will provide the best description. It measures approximately 5" X 3" and weighs just under one pound. I welcome questions, and thanks for looking.
