Starting in the mid-1970s, Bushmiller began pulling old strips and resubmitting them to the syndicate for republication.He would correct mistakes and would often alter gags, to make the strips technically "new strips." On this strip, when Bushmiller resubmitted the art for a second time, he covered the original date- and his Original Signature - (in the lower left of the last panel) under white paint and a new copyright. Then he signed the strip a second time in the upper right. I've included a photo of the last panel (on my light box), to show the hidden signature and date. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Ink and White Paint corrections over Pencil on Bristol. The art is in used condition (for production purposes), as shown in actual item photos. PLEASE NOTE: White paint corrections, in the 3rd panel. Minor bumps and dings. Originally folded down the middle by Bushmiller, the strip has been stored flat, lays flat, and will ship flat. Approximate size: 7" H x 21" W.
