Description: For your consideration is this fully serviced and aligned nakamichi bx-1 2 head cassette deck. The following work has been done to bring this unit back to life and ensure functionality for years to come. All belts and idlers have been replaced with new quality rubber components. Entire tape mechanism has been gone through and old lubricant cleaned away and re greased. Entire tape path including heads have been cleaned and demagnetized All controls have been cleaned. Including all micro switch contacts used in the mechanism All boards have been gone over and any of the known to be problematic orange poly caps replaced with new film caps. Boards have also been checked over for cracking/cold solders. Full mechanical and electrical alignment completed using proper nakamichi test tapes and gauges. Overall cosmetic condition is pretty good, faceplate is free of any large scratches or marks, cabinet has a few small marks and scuffs but overall in very good shape. See pics.
