Description: YY997Nakai sterling pendant black stone feathery design on chain Nakai sterling pendant Navajo necklace possibly Pino marked Nakai sterling Research leads me to believe this pendant necklace is Navajo and the artist might be Pino, although that signature is not on the back. What is there is Sterling and Nakai, which could also be a family name and that of the artist. The stone is black, cold, might be onyx...might not. This pendant pattern was used in a number of pieces by Pino, but also by a Nakai. It is 1 5/8 inches long with ornate feather, beaded areas, loops or vines and that black oval stone. Strung on jewelry wire it appears to be tiny sterling bugle beads with a few 3mm round beads and a lobster claw clasp. The pendant is 1 3/4 inches long - I am including the necklace, it has possibly sterling tube and ball beads, very dainty, but a lot are missing near the lobster clasp - at least an inch of exposed wire on each end makes it far less than perfect.
