Description: MULLER FRERES ART DECO LARGE SILVER BLUE VASE. This is a hand made, French, large Art Deco mold blown glass vase made by Muller Freres prior to 1933. The vase’s provenance comes from the auction house where it was recently purchased. It is decorated in relief with deeply embossed “spearheads” rising from the base, wide grooved rings at the rim, and interspersed with spectacular garlands of stylized, cascading flowers. The unusual silvery blue color of the glass is quite eye-catching. The walls of the glass are substantial, but not overly thick. See weight below. This piece is in excellent, antique condition with no chips or cracks. It was given a light cleaning although some dirt remnants remain inside. From 1905 to the 1930s, the brothers produced luxurious glass objects and developed rapidly into a company celebrated for their creative innovation and superior quality.
