This is finished in the Matte Dark Cherry Burst, with the Maple Neck and Maple Fretboard. This bass guitar is in NEAR MINT, 100% functioning condition. It is VERY CLEAN (recently thoroughly cleaned!) and was kept in a clean, properly humidified, smoke-free, pet-free environment.- This bass guitar comes with an installed 3rd middle pickup!!! It has a Nordstrand NJ5S Hum Cancelling (I BELIEVE NORDSTRAND'S BRIDGE POSITION) pickup in the middle of the two original MTD Proprietary Bridge and Neck pickups. That is the only mod that has been done to this bass. - This guitar does not comes with any type of Bass Case but it will be packaged extra securely in double boxes to help protect the bass during shipping. - This bass guitar weighs in at approximately 9 lbs. 4 ounces. - This is in overall Near Mint condition, but has the following flaws that I could see:- There is some light user wear/ blemishes; patina on the bridge and the tuners. It seems as though all of the proprietary hardware that MTD uses on these Kingston series - are prone to this kind of wear from users' skin oils, etc. The pictures I took are closeups and I tried to capture it at its worst. In different or normal lighting, it's not as bad as it seems. (SEE PICS #17, #18)- There is a small blemish on the rear side of the body, located by the electronics control cavity. (SEE PIC #19)- There is a blemish/ ding on the side of the body, located in the middle of the upper and lower bout. The finish is very soft, and sadly, this is what can happen with these thinner, matte finishes. (SEE PIC #20)- There may be some flaws that are manufacturer defects (barely noticeable, but with all manufacturers, they're there!) This is USED, so it may have some other very minor surface wear on the finish, and hardware from being played and handled, surface swirling, etc, but I couldn't see any to note. The nickel frets are still in excellent condition. - This guitar is set-up pretty darn well, but could use a set-up with the user's preference of strings. - THE STRINGS WILL BE SLIGHTLY LOOSENED UPON SHIPPING TO PROVIDE A FRETBOARD PROTECTIVE SLEEVE.
