Description: Around 90%-95% silver (whether counting it as part of the gold alloy or not), not terribly much gold here. But what is here is 12K and makes its own statement. Hard to say how deep the gold pieces go into the silver, knowing that would give one a better idea of how much gold is here but I would guess “as little as possible”. The outline of the fish and the back and the pin and the letters all have a polished silver sheen. The background behind the letters has a fine hammered textured and appears to have been intentionally blackened. I don’t think it is a paint, probably a chemical solution causing a fast consistent “tarnish”. The gold present includes the classic Black Hills “green” (gold mixed with silver) and “pink” (gold mixed with copper). None of the gold is yellow. Priced for its vintage and fashion and statement value, not just its metal content which is a few grams (mostly silver) at most. I do not have an accurate or sensitive enough scale to say that heather this is 1 or 2 or 3 grams but my money is on about 2 by the feel of it. On the back it is stamped the following: RGC (Rushmore Gold Company I presume) 925 (purity of sterling silver) 12K (purity of gold alloy)
