Description: This is a mounted Antique Ayutthaya (Ayuthia) Period Bronze Buddha Head fragment from Thailand. This wonderfully degraded piece dates from the 14th to 18th Century. The item was purchased in Bangkok in the early 1970's by my father who operated an Antique Shop in Penang, Malaysia at the time. The item was sourced from the well known & respected Antique dealer Peng Seng originally located on Rama IV Road close to the Jim Thompson House Museum. Only original pieces were purchased. The Head is mounted to the wood block and is Stationary. Please note the Buddha Head's unique crown typical of an Ayutthaya Period piece. Please review pictures closely in regards to the overall condition of this Buddha figure. Buddha Head Dimensions: 1 1/4 inch wide, 2 3/8 inches high with depth of 1 inch. Height of Buddha Head including the wood base is 3 1/4 inches. Weight: 2.6 ounces. Returns accepted if not completely satisfied.
