Description: I bought this auxiliary objective lens and the 1.5x lens that I'm also listing a year ago as unused (I'm not the original owner), but I didn't realize at the time that these lenses are only for the SMZ-168 series and not the SMZ-161 that I'm using now (these lenses are also NOT for the SMZ-140/-143 or -171 series). I have an SMZ-168 microscope, too, that I bought some years ago, but it's in storage and I don't know when I would have access to it, so I've decided to try to find a good home for these 2 aux. lenses rather than just hang on to them. From what I've found online, the SMZ-168 and the auxiliary objectives that go with it have been discontinued by Motic, though both the microscope and the aux. objectives are still available at a few sites online. This 0.75x lens increases the microscope working distance by about 14mm (a little over 1/2") and increases the field of view a little bit as well. Also, this lens decreases the minimum microscope magnification from 7.5x to 5.6x with standard 10x eyepieces. My last 2 images show a page from the SMZ-168 user manual that describes the auxiliary objectives and shows the available objectives in the series. The last image is an enlargement of that page to provide a larger view of the 0.75x and 1.5x lenses. NOTE: As I mentioned, I'm also listing the 1.5x auxiliary objective, if you might be interested in that one as well (and I combine shipping).
