Moriyama Mori-machi Matching Blue & Cream Teapot (no lid) and Creamer Pitcher

Description: Vintage (near century old) Moriyama Mori-machi Matching Blue & Cream Teapot (without lid) and Creamer Pitcher. This style features a Raised Floral Motif accented by Royal Blue with No Trim. The red printed maker's mark is an 'M' inside another 'M' above laurel leaves above 'HAND PAINTED - JAPAN'. The porcelain and marks seems like early 20th century, likely circa 1926 to 1929. According to the Gotheborg website dedicated to Japanese Porcelain Marks, "Moriyama Pottery was located in Morimachi in Shizuoka prefecture. Moriyama Pottery was established in 1911 by Hidekichi Nakamura who was taught pottery making by Seison Suzuki. There are currently four studios continuing the Moriyama tradition in and around Morimachi and they are Seison, Seizon, Nakamura and Tame. There seems to be two primary stamps: one appears to be a crown with a wreath of leaves similar to the wreath found on the Noritake stamp. This stamp is marked "Moriyama Hand Paint Japan." The other is a bouquet of flowers and is marked 'Moriyama Made in Japan.' The MM MARK, stands for 'Moriyama Morimachi' and has been referenced to the Moriyama Factory at Morimachi Shizuoka Prefecture Japan." Condition: Heavy crazing on both pieces adds to that antique beauty of both pieces. There are no cracks or chips to either piece, except for a fleabite chip to the spout of the teapot. There is moderate shelf wear to the soles, and a previous owner's name is written on the bottom of the teapot with the date of "Nov. 1937". See photos.
