It would easily be the highlight of any collection. Between 1905-1913, during his final years with MacIntyre & Co., William Moorcroft famously designed and released his striking Flamminian line in two colours: red and green. It was a statement from Moorcroft that single-colour vases do not have to be boring. The result was a line of ceramics that prove his point. Moorcroft's Flamminian creations have developed a cult following of their own and the pieces have become among the most collectible of Moorcrofts. This extremely desirable offering is a rare all-ceramic teapot in the familiar Flamminian green. It stands 7 inches tall to top of handle and 4 inches to rim pf teapot. It is 7 inches wide with a 5 inch footprint. It is signed on the base by William Moorcroft. NOTE: We have been asked about the grey flecks near near the rim of the pot. They are flecks in the glaze; the surface is smooth because the design is intentional. These are not flaws; they are a feature The glaze is deliberately “marbled” in appearance, creating a unique and interesting effect.
