Description: Modern Library Complete Set Greek Tragedies Euripides Sophocles & Aeschylus 1958 Here is the complete collection of every complete greek tragedy that has been preserved to modern times by aeschylus, euripides and sophocles. Translations from the GREAT richard Lattimore, and David Grene among others. A beautiful collection in good conditoon, complete eith dust jackets. There are some hand written notes on some pages and margins, this collection has been read and studied and loved before. Now it is ready for a new home. Some stains and shelf wear, notably on top and bottom.edges of dust jackets, as well as the aforementioned written notes inside. But no missing pages or major damage. The bottom portion of the spine's dust jacket is ripped about 1.5 inches on aeschylus volume one and that is pretty much rhe biggest flaw. As well as stains onnthe sides ofnpages on aeschylus i (this particular volume is in the worst condition of the set,but still perfectly readable). A tear in the middle of euripides iii dust jacket cover as well. A beautiful collection, would make a wonderful gift or addition to anybody library. The birth of drama, pretty much a collection of some of the most important works of art ever written.
