Description: Vintage M.J. Hummel figurines from the 1950s - West Germany This was my mother’s collection. Priced individually, but discounted if all are purchased. I will sell the lot of 6 together for $375 – just contact me after reading the entire description. Dusty after 67 years! All used condition and gently cleaned. All have cracks or chips, either repaired or not, but look great from a distance. They look very good, but upon close inspection, all have small cracks or chips or were reglued. Hummel - Boy w/ Rabbits - 58/0 TMK2 1958 Baby Bee in Circle, “Western Germany” written on bottom Given to my mother by my father's parents for her 20th birthday. Used condition: may be a small chip on one brown rabbit ear and may be a small chip on the basket - but hard to tell. Tiny chip on base. Under the boy's neck may indicate head broke off and was fixed back on.2. Shepherd’s Boy with Lambs Baby Bee in Circle 1958 TMK2 “West Germany” 64 33 Used condition. It appears the head may have broken off and been reattached, one lamb leg has been cracked, the legs may have been reattached, the hat has 2 darker spots that my have been chipped – this is unclear.3. Sweet Music by Hummel Boy Playing Cello Germany 1950-1955 Bee V Mark 186/83 Looks like it may have previously been broken and repaired. Cello arm has a crack, cello base may have been painted over some chips, his neck looks like it broke off and was repaired, his hat looks like it has a chip and was recolored. One of the largest string instruments, the cello is a feature of this figurine. It is being playing by a young boy dressed in a green jacket, red neck scarf and hat. He seems at ease playing the cello while wearing his slippers. It was also known by the title Playing to the Dance. It is one of many figurines that make up the Hummel orchestra.4. Surprise by Hummel - Two Children 94/1 17 (Maybe also 87) - 1950 – 1955: Bee V Marks Germany Children are the feature of this figurine, mostly likely a brother and sister. Standing close, they are looking off in the distance. Surprise has been known by a number of different titles including: The Duet, Hansel and Gretel and What's Up? Her locks look like they were broken a bit and re-colored. Small chip on his suspenders. His neck may have broken off and been repaired. Missing a piece of his tie on his neck.5. Goose Girl 47 3/0 1958 or 1959, The Full Bee: (trademark #2), Western Germany Two geese. Her head may have been broken off and repaired years ago.6. Heavenly Angel 21/0 Western Germany 1958 or 1959 The Full Bee, trademark #2 Poor heavenly angel has no flame on her candle, and there is a chipped off piece at the bottom of the candle. Her base has been broken and repaired. There is a crack in one of her wings. Her head much have broken off and was repaired.
