All parts function as they should. I purchased this reel with many other HIGH-END reels that had been damaged at the retail location. The handle on this reel was damaged. I put an after-market handle and right-side dust cover on this reel that works GREAT for a LEFT-HANDED person only. The handle also has a blemish on the dust cover. The reel casts and retrieves line, the anti-reverse lever works, the drag works, the reel spins freely, the bail snaps shut every time, and the handle reels properly; please view photos to judge condition for yourself.
