Description: This large, cabinet-sized specimen features several large and medium calcite crystals on tan/gray limestone. Some calcite crystals in the specimen fluoresce orange and yellow under long and short wave ultraviolet light. Specimen has been cut flat on the bottom for ideal display quality. The specimen’s origins can be traced back to Snyder County, PA, where it was carefully extracted in October of 2022 by the seller from the National Limestone Quarry #2. I am a geology teacher of over 25 years and amateur rockhound. Feel free to check out my new TikTok channel where you can watch me extract minerals and cut specimens https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8B5eaAJ/ or google Mr. Matthew Sespico. I have hundreds of pounds of crystals that are currently being prepared for sale.
